Receptionist / Document Control (12-month contract)

We are looking for a Receptionist / Document Control Clerk who has excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills to work at our Engineering Consulting office. This contract position is to cover a one-year maternity/paternity leave. Estimated start date is April 29, 2024 until May 9, 2025. This position requires that you are in the office Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with some flexibility to work overtime to meet deadlines.
Duties and responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
• Reception: answer phone calls, greet staff and clients in a professional manner.
• Document Control: responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of incoming and outgoing drawings and transmittals. Control the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by our Engineers and Designers.
• Willing to take on a variety of roles in the office depending on workflow.

• Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Good at MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access), Adobe and PDF XChange Editor.
• Strong computer skills with aptitude for learning new programs. (Oracle Aconex, Citrix ShareFile, ADLP eB and SFTP).
• Able to take direction and work independently with little supervision.
