Temec has always had some kind of Christmas gathering. This has varied over the years, from an informal supper at Drew’s house to a fully catered event at the Coquitlam Executive Inn. Once we had our Christmas in July at the Steveston Fish House because a certain author of this post didn’t realize you have to make a reservation for a Christmas party at least eleven months in advance. So even this setback didn’t stop Temec from celebrating and exchanging wildly inappropriate gifts (as usual), albeit slightly later then everyone else.
But then COVID-19 happened.
So no Christmas gathering for 2020. Instead of a party, we elected to give all team members Temec branded eight-layer face masks and gift baskets. And, to support the (too) many people who don’t have enough to eat this holiday season, for COVID or other reasons, Temec made a donation of $25 per employee to the Burnaby food bank.
Drew, Subir and Mark would like to thank all Temec team members for their support and patience during this most difficult year. Know that 2021 can only be better!
